Some cracks and bumps may affect the life of the product. Whether it is repaired or replaced depends on our inspection before giving professional advice.

HAIRLINE CRACKS
Hairline cracks happen naturally in the granite surface plate. They are tiny, almost invisible cracks that do not affect the cleaning, use, or quality of your granite surface plate. But if this area will bear heavy load, it will affect the precision and life of granite plate.

SEPARATED CRACKS
Separated cracks, on the other hand, are visible. They can get worse if you do nothing. Often you should ask some granite professionals to repair a separated crack in the granite surface plate by filling in the gaps with an epoxy glue that matches the color of the stone. And then they will grind this surface and calibrate this area to guarantee this area can keep high precision.

We will use some of the granite dust from where the break occurs to color the epoxy glue. we will clean the area before applying the glue.

Also, we will put masking tape around the area to ensure do not apply glue to the surrounding granite.

We need to know whether it can be repaired. Generally broken metal components should be milled, grind and drilled by machining center.
