3. Verticality adjustment: Calibrate verticality (e.g., column-to-base or spindle-to-table) using a granite square in combination with the straightedge.
4. Horizontal alignment:For long-span equipment, use granite straightedges as stable reference planes to support spirit-level measurements in segments—ensuring overall planarity.

Granite straightedges, with their extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion and inherent stability over time, offer a nearly constant micron-level straightness reference in equipment installation, effectively resisting deformation caused by environmental temperature differences. Their most notable advantage is that upon impact, they only break locally without generating protruding burrs, ensuring the measurement surface remains perfectly flat. Coupled with their rust-free, non-magnetic, and highly wear-resistant properties, they greatly simplify the maintenance and calibration work of precision machine tools and semiconductor equipment in complex debugging environments.
