Granite CMM Base

The ZHHIMG® Granite CMM Base is engineered for ultra-precision measurement applications, offering outstanding dimensional stability and vibration resistance. Manufactured from premium ZHHIMG® black granite, this base ensures superior physical and thermal performance compared to traditional European and American black granites. Its high density (≈3100 kg/m³), rigidity, and corrosion resistance make it an ideal foundation for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), optical inspection systems, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Superior Material Performance

Unlike marble or other low-grade stone materials often used by small manufacturers, ZHHIMG® black granite provides:

●  Low thermal expansion: maintains stable geometry under temperature fluctuations.
●  High hardness & wear resistance: prevents deformation and surface damage during long-term use.
●  Excellent vibration damping: minimizes measuring errors caused by machine movement.
●  High density & uniform texture: ensures exceptional dimensional consistency and durability.

Each granite block is carefully aged, stress-relieved, and precision-lapped in a temperature-controlled cleanroom to achieve flatness accuracy up to sub-micron level.

Precision Manufacturing Process

At ZHHIMG, every CMM base is produced using advanced CNC and hand-lapping techniques by master craftsmen with over 30 years of experience. Our factory is equipped with:

●  Ultra-large CNC machines capable of processing granite parts up to 20 m in length and 100 tons in weight.
●  Taiwan Nantong precision grinders (6000 mm capacity) for both metal and non-metal components.
●  Constant temperature & humidity workshops with anti-vibration isolation trenches to maintain measuring stability.

Each base undergoes 100% inspection using instruments such as Renishaw laser interferometers, Mitutoyo digital calipers, and WYLER electronic levels, with calibration certificates traceable to national metrology institutes.
