1. Zero Setting:Place a high-precision gauge block on the granite base, adjust the micrometer to contact the block, and zero it.
2. Deviation Check:Replace the block with the part. The AA-grade flat granite base keeps the part’s position stable. Use micrometer readings to check if the part is within tolerance.
3. Parallelism/Flatness Test:Use the granite base as a perfect flat reference. Move the part on it and use a micrometer to check surface undulations for parallelism.
