To ensure your ZHHIMG precision granite table or base retains its sub-micron accuracy for decades, we recommend a disciplined maintenance protocol:
• Cleanliness Protocol: Always clean the surface before and after use. Utilize a specialized granite surface cleaner or high-purity (90%+) Isopropyl Alcohol to remove oils and airborne particulates.
• Avoid Localized Impact: While incredibly hard, granite is brittle. Avoid sharp impacts on the edges. In the event of a scratch, granite will chip rather than "burr," so the flatness remains, but care should be taken to avoid major damage.
• Load Distribution: When mounting heavy instruments, ensure the load is distributed according to the calculated support points (Airy points) to minimize microscopic deflection.
• Annual Calibration: We recommend professional recalibration at least once a year using laser interferometers or electronic levels to verify that the grade of accuracy has not been affected by environmental shifts.
