High-Density ZHHIMG® Black Granite

The base is produced from carefully selected ZHHIMG® black granite with a density of approximately 3100 kg/m³, offering:

•   Excellent vibration damping for dynamic motion control

•   Low thermal expansion for stable positioning accuracy

•   Natural aging stability with no residual internal stress

•   Non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant properties

Compared to cast iron or welded steel structures, granite provides superior long-term dimensional stability, especially in temperature-controlled precision environments.

Optimized Structure for Dynamic Performance

The large cross-section design ensures high bending stiffness, allowing the base to maintain flatness and straightness even under high acceleration and load changes. Precision-machined mounting surfaces and hole patterns enable seamless integration with:

•   Linear motors

•   Guide rails and air bearings

•   Precision stages and gantry systems

This makes the base ideal for high-speed, high-precision motion applications.

Ultra-Precision Machining & Hand Lapping

All critical surfaces are precision ground and hand-lapped in ZHHIMG® constant-temperature workshops. Flatness and parallelism can be controlled to micron or sub-micron levels, depending on system requirements.

Each granite base is individually inspected using laser interferometers, electronic levels, and high-resolution metrology instruments, ensuring full traceability to national metrology standards.
