Precision Granite Dial Base
In the comparative measurement of component dimensions, the granite table plays a core role in providing an "absolute reference plane" and "rigid support". Comparative measurement does not directly read the absolute dimensions of the parts, but first calibrates the dial indicator on the table with gauge blocks (standard parts), and then measures the parts to be tested.
1. Zeroing (Aligning to zero): Place the standard gauge block on the granite base, adjust the table's cross arm to make the indicator's contact point touch the gauge block, and set its reading to zero.
2. Measurement: Remove the gauge block and replace it with the part to be tested. The deviation value (positive or negative) displayed by the indicator at this time is the error of the part relative to the standard dimension.
