Precision Granite Frame & Machine Base
ZHHIMG® uses high-density black granite (≈3100 kg/m³) with outstanding physical properties. Compared with ordinary granite or low-cost marble substitutes, our material offers:
• Excellent thermal stability and extremely low thermal expansion
• Natural vibration damping without additional damping structures
• No aging deformation, no internal stress release
• High rigidity and long-term geometric stability
Many low-end suppliers replace granite with marble to reduce cost. ZHHIMG® firmly rejects this practice. Marble cannot meet the stability requirements of precision engineering and is unsuitable for high-accuracy applications.

The granite frame shown is a precision-assembled granite structure, consisting of a granite base and vertical support columns, processed and assembled to micron-level accuracy.
Key structural features include:
• Precisely ground reference surfaces for accurate assembly and alignment
• Integrated mounting holes and threaded inserts for direct equipment installation
• High flatness and perpendicularity control between mating surfaces
• Custom internal cutouts to reduce weight while maintaining rigidity
• Seamless granite bonding using industry-proven structural adhesives
ZHHIMG® granite frames can be manufactured in custom geometries, including large-scale monolithic or assembled structures, supporting single components up to 100 tons and lengths up to 20 meters.
We use various techniques during this process:
● Optical measurements with autocollimators
● Laser interferometers and laser trackers
● Electronic inclination levels (precision spirit levels)

Granite frames require minimal maintenance, but proper handling ensures maximum performance:
• Clean surfaces regularly using alcohol or neutral cleaners
• Avoid impact loads or localized point forces
• Maintain stable ambient temperature for precision applications
• Use proper lifting points during transportation and installation
Unlike metal structures, granite does not rust, warp, or require stress-relief treatments, significantly reducing lifetime maintenance costs.
