Granite’s natural damping characteristics significantly reduce micro-vibrations caused by:

• Linear motor acceleration
• Environmental disturbances
This is especially critical in optical, semiconductor, and laser-based systems.

• Clean surfaces regularly using alcohol or neutral cleaning agents
• Avoid hard impacts or concentrated point loads
• Do not place the granite base in direct sunlight or near heat sources
• Periodically verify flatness if used as a calibration datum
Under proper conditions, granite structures can maintain accuracy for decades without deformation.
