What is a Granite Machine Base?

A granite machine base is a precision-machined platform made from natural black granite, specifically selected and processed by ZHHIMG®. With a density of ~3100 kg/m³, our granite provides exceptional rigidity and vibration damping, forming the foundation for CNC machines, CMMs, laser equipment, and other ultra-precise systems.

Granite's inert composition and dimensional stability make it far superior to traditional materials like cast iron or mineral cast, especially in high-accuracy applications where temperature fluctuations or mechanical vibrations can cause errors.
