How Constant Temperature Workshop Guarantees Long-Term Stability of Granite Square Ruler

Temperature fluctuation stands as one critical factor triggering precision drift for granite measuring tools. Minor temperature shifts expand or contract stone materials, altering verticality, flatness and dimensional data of square rulers. For semiconductor assembling, optical calibration and metrology labs requiring consistent precision for years, stable temperature control is not auxiliary equipment, but a core guarantee for long-term geometric stability. ZHHIMG builds a full-set constant temperature & humidity dust-free workshop system, linking raw material property, production grinding, finished product inspection and storage calibration, to lock permanent stable precision for all granite square rulers.
The stable performance of granite square rulers first benefits from our exclusive black granite raw material foundation. Unlike low-cost marble used by small manufacturers with loose texture and large thermal expansion coefficient, our selected natural black granite reaches a density of 3100kg/m³, with compact crystal arrangement and minimal thermal deformation rate. This inherent physical property reduces temperature-induced distortion by a large margin, yet it cannot fully offset precision changes caused by drastic temperature swings. That explains why ZHHIMG invests heavily in professional constant temperature workshops to create a zero-fluctuation production environment and maximize the stone’s natural stability advantages.
Our core constant temperature & humidity workshop covers 10,000 square meters, designed with professional thermal insulation and constant temperature circulation systems to keep internal temperature and humidity locked within narrow standard ranges all year round. The ground adopts military ultra-hard concrete pouring with a thickness of no less than 1000mm, avoiding ground deformation caused by temperature expansion and contraction. Surrounding the entire workshop, shockproof trenches with 500mm width and 2000mm depth block external heat transfer and vibration transmission simultaneously. Silent traveling cranes are equipped inside the temperature-controlled space; they generate negligible heat during workpiece transportation, preventing local temperature spikes that may affect semi-finished granite square rulers under grinding.
All key processing and polishing procedures for granite square rulers are completed entirely inside this constant temperature space. We equip four Taiwan Nantou ultra-large grinding machines, each costing over 500,000 US dollars. These high-precision grinders operate steadily under constant temperature conditions, eliminating processing errors brought by thermal expansion of machine spindles and granite blanks. Our polishing masters with over 30 years of hand grinding experience conduct fine surface finishing only in the temperature-stable workshop. Without temperature disturbance, technicians can precisely control nanometer-level material removal, forming ultra-flat measuring surfaces and perfect 90° vertical angles that maintain stable geometric data after long-term storage and repeated use.
Before delivery, every finished granite square ruler undergoes full-item precision testing inside the constant temperature dust-free inspection area. We deploy world-leading imported testing instruments: Germany Mahr 0.5μm ultra-precision dial gauges, Mitutoyo micrometers and roughness testers, Switzerland WYLER electronic levels, UK Renishaw laser interferometers and inductive micrometers. All inspection equipment holds calibration certificates issued by Jinan and Shandong Metrology Institutes, with testing data traceable to national metrology standards. Long-time constant temperature aging tests are performed on finished square rulers; we continuously record dimensional changes under fixed temperature and humidity, screening out products with tiny potential thermal drift to ensure each ruler maintains unchanged precision after years of industrial application.                          Precision ceramic square ruler
Products manufactured under strict constant temperature control show outstanding adaptability in high-end industrial scenes. Our granite square rulers are widely applied for vertical benchmark calibration in semiconductor equipment, PCB drilling machines, CMM coordinate measuring instruments, femtosecond and picosecond laser devices, AOI optical inspection equipment, industrial CT, X-ray testing platforms, linear motor stages and new energy lithium battery detection machines. When placed in customer’s constant-temperature production workshops for daily repeated calibration, our square rulers rarely produce precision deviation, greatly lowering equipment adjustment frequency and improving finished product yield for precision manufacturers.
ZHHIMG is the only enterprise in the ultra-precision industry that simultaneously holds ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and CE certifications. We have registered more than 20 international trademarks and patents via the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, covering the EU, the United States, Southeast Asia and other developed regions. We adhere to the corporate tenets of openness, innovation, integrity and unity, and stick to the customer commitment of no cheating, no concealment, no misleading. Our long-term partners include Fortune 500 enterprises such as GE, Samsung, Apple, Bosch, THK and HIWIN, as well as world-famous metrology institutes and top universities across continents. Customers globally recognize the long-term stable precision of our granite measuring tools, which stems from our professional constant temperature workshop system.
For ultra-precision measurement tools, short-term qualified precision is easy to achieve, while long-term stable precision relies on systematic temperature control solutions. ZHHIMG’s large-scale constant temperature & humidity dust-free workshop coordinates high-density low-expansion granite raw materials, constant-temperature precision grinding equipment, temperature-stable manual polishing and long-time constant-temperature aging inspection. The whole-process temperature control chain fundamentally restrains thermal deformation of granite square rulers, ensuring unchanged verticality and flatness even after long years of storage and frequent calibration work. Upholding the mission of promoting the development of the ultra-precision industry, ZHHIMG continues to optimize constant temperature production technology, providing reliable long-stability granite calibration tools for global precision manufacturing and metrology industries.
