Not all natural stone fits air bearing platforms. ZHHIMG adopts black granite with density up to 3100kg/m³, whose physical properties surpass European and American granite. Pure flat granite bases cannot satisfy air bearing operating demands. During design, our engineers rationally set groove distribution, weight reduction cavities, air channel avoiding areas and mounting positions. Reasonable structural layout guides smooth airflow discharge, prevents turbulent airflow from impacting the granite matrix. Excessive local pressure caused by chaotic airflow will induce tiny structural vibration. Optimized layout cuts down airflow disturbance at the source and protects the integrity of air film. Besides, we adopt integrated monolithic structure as much as possible. Spliced components produce assembly gaps and inconsistent rigidity, which are hidden troubles for air bearing motion stability.
3. Environmental matched machining: Control internal stress to prevent post-installation warpage
Even perfect design will fail if components retain massive internal stress. The 1000mm-thick ultra-hard concrete floor together with surrounding anti-vibration trenches isolates external vibration. Silent travelling cranes avoid shock impact during processing. Slow stress relief and precision grinding are completed under stable environmental conditions, so finished granite parts maintain stable geometry after installation, without slow warping that disturbs air bearing flatness.

We deploy Taiwan Nantou large grinding machines and adopt manual polishing by senior craftsmen with over 30 years of experience to achieve nano-level flatness. Uneven surface will cause uneven air film thickness, leading to deflection during linear motion of air bearing slides.

After processing, every granite component undergoes strict testing. We deploy German Mahr, Mitutoyo, Renishaw laser interferometer and Swiss Wyler electronic level for comprehensive measurement.
