Long-Term Stability: How Dense Granite Resists Deformation Under Continuous High-Low Temperature Cycles

In ultra-precision manufacturing fields such as semiconductors, precision laser processing and environmental simulation testing, equipment components must withstand continuous high-low temperature cycles while maintaining nanometer-level dimensional stability. As the industry standard setter, ZHHIMG has cracked the problem of material deformation under temperature fluctuations with its self-developed high-density black granite, providing reliable core substrates for global precision equipment manufacturers.
ZHHIMG’s core material, high-density black granite with a density of approximately 3100kg/m³, far surpasses ordinary marble and even European and American black granite in physical properties. Its excellent resistance to deformation under high-low temperature cycles stems from its unique internal structure and strict pre-processing technology. The dense and uniform crystal arrangement of this granite minimizes internal micro-pores and capillary gaps, effectively reducing the thermal expansion and contraction caused by temperature changes. Unlike cheap marble used by small manufacturers to cut corners, ZHHIMG’s high-density granite has a low linear thermal expansion coefficient, which can be stably controlled within a range that meets the requirements of extreme temperature working conditions, laying a solid foundation for long-term dimensional stability.                                                                    Custom-made granite parts
To further enhance the temperature cycle resistance of dense granite, ZHHIMG has formulated a strict pre-processing process. All raw granite materials undergo long-term natural aging and multi-stage constant temperature stress relief treatment, which fully releases the internal residual stress of the stone. Before processing, the raw materials are also put through simulated high-low temperature cycle tests to eliminate potential micro-deformation risks in advance. This proactive treatment method ensures that the granite components will not produce irreversible deformation or internal cracks even after long-term exposure to continuous high-low temperature cycles.
The production and processing environment of ZHHIMG further guarantees the temperature stability of granite components. The company’s 10,000㎡ constant temperature and humidity workshop is built with an ultra-hard concrete floor of no less than 1000mm thick, surrounded by anti-vibration trenches, and equipped with silent overhead cranes. The stable processing environment avoids the interference of external temperature fluctuations and vibration on the processing precision of granite. Meanwhile, the company uses internationally advanced processing equipment such as Taiwan Nante large grinders, and adopts metal-free diamond abrasives and high-purity deionized water coolant in the processing process, ensuring that the granite surface is not damaged and the internal structure remains intact.
ZHHIMG’s strict quality control system and advanced testing methods provide strong support for verifying the long-term stability of dense granite. The company uses world-class testing equipment including German Mahr dial indicators (0.5um), Swiss WYLER electronic levels and British Renishaw laser interferometers, all of which are traceable to the National Institute of Metrology. Each batch of granite components will undergo high-low temperature cycle durability tests, and key indicators such as flatness and linearity are monitored in real time to ensure that the deformation amount is controlled within the nanometer level after hundreds of temperature cycles.
Adhering to the quality policy of “The precision business can’t be too demanding” and the commitment of “No cheating, No concealment, No misleading”, ZHHIMG’s high-density granite components have been widely used in semiconductor equipment, femtosecond laser equipment and new energy battery testing equipment. Its excellent deformation resistance under continuous high-low temperature cycles has been verified by global top 500 customers such as Samsung, Apple and Bosch. As the only company in the industry with ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and CE certifications, ZHHIMG will continue to innovate, optimize the performance of dense granite, and contribute to the development of the global ultra-precision industry.
