CMM MACHINE is coordinate measuring machine,  abbreviation CMM, it refers to in the three-dimensional measurable space range, according to the point data returned by the probe system, through the three-coordinate software system to calculate various geometric shapes, Instruments with measurement capabilities such as size, also known as three-dimensional, three-coordinate measuring machines, and three-coordinate measuring instruments.
A three-coordinate measuring instrument can be defined as a detector that can move in three directions and can move on three mutually perpendicular guide rails. The detector transmits signals in a contact or non-contact manner. A system (such as an optical ruler) is an instrument that calculates the coordinates (X, Y, Z) of each point of the workpiece and measures various functions through a data processor or a computer. Therefore, the accurate collection of space point coordinates is the basis for evaluating any geometric shape.
