Most new customers find ZHHIMG the same way. An engineer sees our granite under a machine from a brand they trust, or a metrology lab mentions where its reference plates come from. Then comes the part every serious buyer does: due diligence.
When you are about to put a supplier under a production machine that cannot fail, references matter more than catalogue pages. This is a short, honest account of who we work with, what they check, and why they stay.
A precision platform measured on an isolated base at the ZHHIMG plant — the same geometry our partners build their machines on.
The Reference List Is Not Decoration
Our precision granite is used by global companies such as GE, Samsung and Oracle. In the wider partner network you will find names like HIWIN, THK, Hexagon Metrology and MISUMI. We also work with research and standards institutions including the National University of Singapore and national metrology institutes in the UK, Germany and the US.
We list these names for one reason. A new buyer can call them. When your supplier’s claims can be verified by someone else, the conversation stops being about trust and starts being about fit.
Why Metrology Institutes Are the Hardest Customer
A metrology institute measures for a living. It cannot accept a number it has not checked itself. So when such a lab buys a granite plate or a calibration frame from us, it re-measures it, on its own equipment, to its own uncertainty budget.
That is the test we want. If a national lab confirms the flatness of a precision granite component, the tolerance is no longer a marketing line. It is a measured fact, reproducible by a third party. Working with these customers keeps our own numbers honest, because there is nowhere to hide.
What a Fortune 500 Audit Actually Checks
Large buyers send auditors. The first questions are never about price. They are about system: how you control a drawing, how you trace a material batch, how you handle a non-conformance, and how you prove a surface was measured rather than assumed.
ZHHIMG is the only company in the sector that holds ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and CE certification at the same time, supported by more than 20 international patents and a long-standing 7S discipline on the shop floor. Paper is not enough, but it is the door. We would rather open it and let a customer look at everything.
Capacity You Can Plan a Launch Around
Reference logos mean little if the supplier cannot deliver on schedule. Our two plants near Jinan cover roughly 200 acres, with overseas offices in Singapore and Malaysia. We ship on the order of 10,000 sets a month, and we can handle single pieces up to about 100 tonnes and 20 metres long.
That range matters. The same partner should be able to make the small precision blocks inside a metrology system and the large ultra-high-precision granite base under a full machine frame — without splitting the order across three suppliers and hoping the tolerances still match.
From a Jinan Factory to a Global Supply Chain
ZHHIMG started in Jinan in the 1980s, built its first production entity in 1998 and became a group in 2020. The growth came the slow way: repeat orders from customers who audited us once and then stopped worrying. Most of our business now comes from partners who have bought from us for years.
That is the difference between a vendor and a partner. A vendor sells you a block of stone. A partner sends the drawing back with notes and asks whether the interface can be made better.
What We Ask From a New Customer
Nothing unusual. Send the accuracy budget, the load, the environment and the interface drawing. Our engineers will propose the granite grade, thickness, insert layout and finish, and give you the measurement data to prove the result.
Dense black granite at roughly 3,100 kg/m³, low thermal expansion, high damping, and a lapped surface from craftsmen with up to thirty years at the bench — measured on equipment from Mahr, WYLER and Renishaw. No cheating, no concealment, no misleading. That is the whole offer.
If you are evaluating a supplier for a machine you cannot afford to re-specify, start with our assembly, inspection and calibration capabilities — and judge us the way our metrology customers do.
