Why Black Granite Wins

Our black granite runs at a density of roughly 3,100 kg/m³. High density means low porosity. Low porosity means the stone does not absorb moisture, does not swell in humid cleanrooms, and does not shift as the seasons change.

Three more properties matter just as much. Granite has low thermal expansion, so a temperature swing moves it far less than metal. It has high internal damping, so vibration turns into heat instead of travelling to the wafer. And it is non-magnetic and non-rusting, so it will not disturb sensors or shed corrosion over time. Where Granite Sits in a Semiconductor Tool
