It pairs a broad, flat granite table with an integrated raised guideway rail — machined from the same dense black granite block — so the mounting surface and the motion path share one continuous, vibration-resistant body instead of being bolted together from separate parts.

Density that actually shows up in performance. At roughly 3,100 kg/m³, this black granite sits at the high end of what's available anywhere in the industry — denser mass means better vibration damping, full stop.
One-piece rail and base construction. Because the guideway is integrated into the same granite body as the mounting surface, you avoid the alignment drift that can creep in over time with bolted or bonded rail assemblies.
Leveling without compromise. The adjustable feet let installers fine-tune the base to true level on-site, rather than relying on shimming a rigid frame — which, frankly, never quite gets you there.
Thermally boring — in the best way. Granite's low, predictable thermal expansion means the base doesn't chase your equipment's readings around as the room temperature drifts through the day.
Traceable, standards-based manufacturing. Every base is produced and inspected against recognized international standards (DIN, ASME, JIS, GB, BS), with calibration equipment traceable to national metrology institutes.

Can the dimensions, hole pattern, and rail profile be customized? Yes. This is a made-to-order product. Send your drawing, mounting interface, or existing equipment specification and we'll match the base to it.
How is this different from a granite surface plate? A surface plate is a flat reference standard on its own. This base is a structural platform with an integrated guideway, designed to carry and align a moving stage or optical system — a different job, even though both start from the same granite.
Will the granite drift out of flat over time? Properly finished granite is dimensionally far more stable than cast metal or welded steel over the long term, which is exactly why it's the standard reference material in metrology labs. That said, flatness retention also depends on installation — level feet, a stable floor, and avoiding point-loading are what keep it that way.
What's the lead time for a custom base like this? Lead time depends on size and complexity — grinding a large granite mass to tight flatness tolerances takes real time, and we won't rush that step. Send your specification and we'll give you an accurate timeline.
Do you provide calibration documentation? Yes, calibration certificates are provided and traceable to national metrology institutes.
