Precision Granite Support Beam with Adjustable Leveling Feet
Long granite beams have a reputation problem they don't deserve: people assume that because stone is rigid, a long unsupported span won't sag. It will. Any rigid slab, granite included, deflects slightly under its own weight across a long span if it's only supported at two points — the same physics that applies to a steel I-beam, just at a much smaller magnitude for granite because of its higher stiffness-to-weight behavior in compression.
This beam is built around that reality rather than around it. Instead of two end supports, it sits on a distributed row of adjustable stainless steel feet, spreading the load across the full length and allowing each point to be independently leveled during installation. For customers running linear motor stages, CMM gantries, or PCB drilling platforms — applications where the beam itself becomes the reference surface or guide rail bed for a moving axis — that distributed, adjustable support is often the difference between a beam that holds its flatness over a multi-meter span and one that doesn't.

Rather than relying on two-point support and hoping stiffness alone handles a multi-meter span, the beam's weight is spread across multiple independently adjustable feet — reducing the sag that shows up on longer granite components under conventional mounting.
- • Field-adjustable leveling, no re-machining required. Each foot adjusts independently via its threaded post, so installation teams can fine-tune the beam's level on-site to compensate for an imperfect mounting surface, without sending the component back for re-grinding.
- • High-density black granite for dimensional stability. At roughly 3,100 kg/m³, the stone used here is denser than typical commercial black granite and considerably more stable than marble substitutes some suppliers pass off under the same label — density that translates into better resistance to thermal drift and moisture absorption over the component's service life.
- • Large-format machining capability. Beams up to 20 meters in length and 100 tons in weight can be processed on our CNC and grinding equipment, which matters for gantry systems and drilling platforms where a single continuous span is preferable to a jointed assembly.
- • Calibration traceability included. Every beam ships with flatness and straightness data from equipment traceable to accredited metrology institute standards — not just a pass/fail tag.

Q: Can the foot spacing and quantity be customized to our mounting frame?
Yes. Foot spacing, quantity, and post height are configured to match the customer's drawing or existing frame design — this photo shows a standard configuration, not a fixed layout.
Q: What flatness grade can this beam achieve?
Depending on length and application, we grind and hand-scrape to Grade 000, 00, or 0 per DIN 876 or equivalent GB/T standards. Longer spans generally see tighter grade requirements discussed case-by-case, since achievable tolerance scales with length.
Q: Does the adjustable foot system affect long-term stability once leveled?
No — once leveled and locked, the threaded posts hold position under normal operating loads. Re-leveling is only needed if the beam is relocated or the mounting structure itself shifts.
Q: Can you supply beams longer than shown in this image?
Yes, up to 20 meters in a single piece on our current equipment. Longer requirements can be discussed as multi-section assemblies with precision-aligned joints.
Q: Is calibration data provided with each unit?
Yes — flatness and straightness measurement data, traceable to metrology institute-calibrated instruments, ships with every beam.
