Q: How does ZHHIMG granite compare to cast iron or steel bases?
A: Granite has roughly 1/3 the thermal conductivity of metal, meaning it is less affected by rapid temperature changes in the factory. It also dampens vibration 5x better than cast iron, resulting in smoother surface finishes and more accurate measurements.
Q: Can you customize the hole pattern and dimensions?
A: Absolutely. We are a manufacturer, not a trader. Send us your CAD drawings, and our engineering team will manufacture the base to your exact specifications, including custom inserts, grooves, and tolerance levels.
Q: How do you ensure the stone won't warp over time?
A: We use a rigorous aging process for our raw stone blocks before machining. Additionally, our "walking electronic level" master grinders perform final hand-finishing to relieve any surface stress induced during machining, ensuring long-term geometric stability.
