- • Integrated Design Flexibility: As seen in the image, we offer custom machining services directly on the granite block. This includes embedding stainless steel threaded inserts, machining dovetail ways for linear guides, and creating precise mounting holes, eliminating the need for secondary assembly fixtures.

Q: Can you embed metal inserts into the granite without cracking?
A: Yes. We use specialized epoxy bonding techniques and stress-relieved stainless steel inserts designed specifically for stone. This ensures the insert withstands high torque loads without compromising the granite's structural integrity.
A: While mineral casting offers good damping, natural granite provides superior long-term dimensional stability and hardness. It is less susceptible to aging, creep, or chemical degradation over decades of use, making it the premium choice for permanent metrology installations.
A: Standard blocks are often in stock. Custom machining typically takes 3-5 weeks depending on complexity, as we allow sufficient curing time for adhesives and perform final lapping to ensure flatness after all machining is complete.
